This unique 3-day course will provide a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of nerve excitability testing, data analysis and interpretation. The workshop will take place at the Royal Society's recently refurbished Chicheley Hall, a Georgian country house in Buckinghamshire. In addition to Qtrac/Trond recordings of multiple excitability properties of peripheral nerves, participants will be introduced to the use of microneurography for the study of C fibres and to the new technique for studying muscle excitability by measuring the velocity recovery cycles of muscle action potentials. The workshop is intended primarily for clinical neurophysiologists but it should also be of value to neurologists and neuroscientists with a particular interest in peripheral nerve.
